For Coaches and Managers

Prince Rupert Youth Soccer Association has been awarded the Prince Rupert Port Authority’s Rising Tide Grant for 2023.

The Prince Rupert Port Authority’s Rising Tide Program was developed to encourage every young person’s curiosity for trying new things and building confidence through achievement and success.

This funding will be used to further develop grassroots certified coaches in our community.

As adults, it is our responsibility to ensure that all of our children are able to enjoy soccer in a safe, fun, accessible, inclusive and developmentally appropriate environment.

For youth soccer coaches who are interested in starting or upgrading their Grassroots Soccer Coaching credentials,  this funding will allow you to do so at no cost.

BC Soccer has mandated  that all youth soccer coaches have completed some form of Grassroots Education in order to coach youth soccer in 2023.

Here is how it works.

Once a parent/guardian has completed an online learning module, please email that completed online certification to prysapresident@gmail.com and prysatreasurer@gmail.com

Any parent/guardian that sends us a completed Grassroots Coach Education Program certificate form will have their costs reimbursed.

On-field workshops will be scheduled at a later date, and are not needed to participate in this program
